A total of 18 trainees completed the first batch of OAP NC II on May 30, 2023 at the Regional Training Center – Zamboanga Peninsula in San Roque, Zamboanga City.

Started on April 18, 2023, the training run for 232 hours and covered core competencies in Raising Organic Chickens, Producing Organic Vegetables, Producing Organic Fertilizers, Making Organic Concoctions and Extracts. Raising organic small ruminants was also covered as the elective core competency. The trainer, Mr. Jose Venus Famisaran, also equipped the trainees with the knowledge, skills and attitudes on basic and common competencies needed based on the training regulation.

During the closing ceremony, the participants represented by Mr. Lowell Vallecer, thanked TESDA and the trainer for the quality training delivery and underscored the patience of the trainer in equipping them with all the needed competencies.

TESDA has been promoting green jobs and healthy and sustainable production systems as mandated in the Philippine Green Jobs Act of 2016.
