A total of 100 individuals benefited from the skills demonstration and free services conducted by the Regional Training Center – Zamboanga Peninsusla at the KCC Mall de Zamboanga and Zamboanga City State Polytechnic College respectively on May 1, 2023. The activities were held in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment IX as part of the 121st Labor Day Celebration with the theme: “Pabahay, Bilihing Abot-Presyo, Benepisyo ng Matatag na Trabaho Para sa Manggagawang Pilipino.”

Ms. Sheva Fuentevilla and Ms. Sheba Pallar, trainers in bread and pastry, shared their expertise by demonstrating how to make a fondant and bake a pizza. Ms. Fuentevilla also shared techniques on how to make abstract cake decorations, benefiting a total of 47 participants. As a treat to workers on this special day, a group of trainers specializing in beauty care and hilot wellness massage treated 50 individuals to a free haircut, massage, pedicure, and manicure services.

Through RTC, TESDA IX will continue to work tirelessly to provide training programs that will equip individuals with the skills they need to secure a sustainable livelihood and a promising future.
